ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The lockdown has been lifted at Desert Ridge Middle School. The school is on Barstow between Paseo del Norte and Alameda in northeast Albuquerque.

Albuquerque Police say a parent made threats to bring a gun to the school and as a precautionary measure, the School Resource Officer placed the school on lockdown.

Police are currently interviewing the suspect involved and say there is no threat to the school or surrounding areas.

In that tweet APS also said that Eugene Elementary School, on Edith just south of Coal, is on a shelter in place. KOB is working to get details on that situation and will update as more details come in.

Eugene Field ES has been placed under a shelter in place and Desert Ridge MS is under a lock down due to police activity in the areas. @APS_PD
